Description
Hoagland Custom, located in sunny Fernandina Beach, Florida, has specialized in custom guitar wiring and pickup making for over 25 years…
& we love what we do!
If you think that the regular Tele 4-way switching positions are a little weird… you’ll LOVE this wiring harness!
It features a Sprague “Orange Drop” tone capacitor.
Normal Tele 4-way switches have the following positions:
- P1 – bridge pickup
- P2 – bridge & neck pickups, in-parallel (normal Tele tones)
- P3 – neck pickup
- P4 – bridge & neck pickups, in-series (a 15%boost in power and much better tone)
For a lot of people, that’s kind of a strange order. So, we’ve developed a more natural 4-way switching order with the bridge & neck combinations in P-2 & P-3.
We’ve developed this switching order:
- P1 – bridge pickup only
- P2 – neck & bridge, in-parallel (normal Tele tone)
- P3 – neck & bridge, in-series (a 15% boost in power and much better tone!)
- P4 – neck pickup only
This Tele wiring harness will give you an additional switch position and a cool extra tone that your standard 3-way Tele does not have.
It is a 4-way “series/parallel switching Telecaster wiring harness BUT…
It has different switching positions than a normal Tele 4-way.
4 switching positions that make more sense than the standard Tele 4-way.
